OS Name/Version: Ubuntu 16.04LTS and 17.04LTS.

Product Name/Version: Because my license is deactivated i can only say i installed AMP and MCMA on the 26.08.17

Steps to reproduce: Install AMP and create a new Instance of srcds(Garry's mod) and try to start the Server. Create a new MC instance and install any kind of FTB or Forge and try to start the Server. Create a new instance and try to start it.

Problem Description: First i bought MCMA and tried to set up a MC Server. MCMA Admin works fine, but when i try to install/run Minecraft i always get a Error. Mostly some kind of java error. Then i tried AMP, MC works out of the Box, but i can't get FTB, Forge or a srcds(Garry's Mod) Server running. I start the instance and it shows that the instance is running, but nothing happens. The log is empty. Also i have the problem that some new instances won't start.

Actions taken to resolve so far: I installed all dependecies Try Java 8 instead of Java 9 Try Ubuntu 16.04 instead of Ubuntu 17.04 Used another Server, both Intel based with 8 Cores and 32GB Ram with 256GB SSD

As a sanity check, can you temporarily switch to the official server and tell it to update, see if that'll start?

Gilbert17 posted this 2 days ago

~/.ampdata/instances/Minecraft/Minecraft/eula.txt

eula=true

Mike posted this 3 days ago

Is the eula shown as accepted in the eula.txt file?

Gilbert17 posted this 4 days ago

I Enabled skip Eula check and selected my own Jar, but i have still the same issues. I didn't found any option to disable updates. I selected the jar manually. That's all.

Mike posted this 5 days ago

Right, in the configuration for the first instance there's an option disable the startup EULA check.

For the second instance, you'll need to provide your own copy of ForgeMod.jar again and all of its libraries/plugins/etc. Don't tell it to do an update.

If i try to start a MC Server (Forge) with my own Forge jar i have to accept the eula and then i get an error that the server is unable to start because "You must accept the Mojang EULA before you may run the Minecraft server." . I tried it mulitple times and i can't start the server whether I accept or refuse the EULA.

In a second instance i got the error The update manager reported a successful update, but ./Minecraft/ForgeMod.jar is missing.

Don't view it, just start it and check for it's log file.

Okay, try creating an instance specifically on IP address 0.0.0.0 and port 10050 - see if you get that same issue.

Gilbert17 posted this 5 days ago

Here is a part of the log, Nothing else is running on the server and both instances use diffrent IP‘s

Mike posted this 5 days ago

It does exist. Just do cd ~/.ampdata while logged in as the same user you're running the instance manager as.

Gilbert17 posted this 5 days ago

~/.ampdata/ dosn‘t exist. If i check it with ls -all i can‘t see .ampdata

Mike posted this 5 days ago

So ADS isn't running, which is why you can't access its web interface. Check it's log file at ~/.ampdata/Instances/ADSInstances/AMP_Logs - pastebin the contents of all the log files you find there.

Also please join the live chat so I can sort this faster for you.

Gilbert17 posted this 5 days ago

I successfully removed the datastore directory. Then i created 2 new Instances, one ADS and one Mincraft. When i try to start the ADS Instance i get this message

[Info] You can now browse to this instances web interface at its IP address and port.
[Info] Instance started in new session. Run './ampinstmgr View ADSInstance' to view this instances console.

When i try to browse it via the URL i got nothing and if i run ./ampinstmgr View ADSInstance I get:

Delete the datastore directory:

rm -rf ~/.ampdata

This will destroy all the instances as well as the manifest.

Delete the instances and re create them. Don't use ADS for now.

That's the output, i think nothing changed. Why does he say 4 instances loaded and shows it in the webinterface when the instance is deleted? The server never was interrupted.

Sorry, the spam filter is a little over-sensitive.

It looks like the instance never created properly, or you deleted certain files ( Hence the error - "Couldn't locate the AMP executable" ) Run this:

AMP_NO_CACHE=1 ./ampinstmgr -u 1-Minecraft

Then run ./ampinstmgr -l again.
